About Us

We’re nobody special, just a couple of beach bums who’ve spent their years chasing waves and snowstorms, and built their careers in the action sports, outdoors, health and beauty industries–developing brands and products for some of the world’s finest.

We’ve done fine and dandy and had a good time along the way, but what once was seen as a means to an end, seems to be turning into a means to the end of the planet!  All these things we’ve created have brought so much joy to the world, but also, so much garbage.  We couldn’t think of a single thing that didn’t somehow contribute to plastic waste in our waterways and natural spaces.

During a recent family surf trip, we were struck by the sight of trash on what should have been a pristine beach. It sparked a conversation about the environmental impact of our industries, despite our best efforts. We realized that even the cleanest products were still contributing to the problem due to plastic packaging.

The truth is, the waves we love are increasingly filled with bits of plastic. We knew it was time to shift our focus and take action.

From that moment, our idea was born. We began experimenting with fragrances made from local natural fruits and vegetables, determined to create something that would honor both our passion for the ocean and our commitment to a cleaner planet.  And after two years of refinement, we’re confident that we’ve arrived at the the best darn natural, plastic-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, vegan, RSPO Palm Oil, gluten-free, sulfate-free, made in the USA bar soap the world has ever smelled!
